An Invitation To Visit
Please come and visit us. In the mountains of Eastern Tennessee, there is an old expression: “The latch string is out!” In the early days, pulling in the rope that was used to bind the door of the cabin locked the cabin from intruders. Friends were told “the latch string is out” meaning “the door is open.” We believe that motto of the United Methodist Church: Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors. Unfortunately, security for the children in our buildings means locked doors when children are present, but you can “knock” by using the intercom on the Education Building. Someone will greet you at the door and welcome you into the building.
